Ram Sale

This photo was taken on a semi-recent car trip, when we stopped for a break. This sign, alone in a barren, flat field, caught my attention. I’d say I took well over twenty photos trying to find out which layout worked the best.

The Watcher of the Seas

I expected this little seagull to fly away the moment I approached it, but, much to my surprise, it stayed right where it was. It’s interest in me meant that I had a slightly harder time getting the photo I was searching for, but in the end it went to look out over the ocean…

Empty Warehouse

This picture was taken in Fremantle, just after I’d arrived back from Rottnest Island. I didn’t have a tripod so there was a little bit of shaking and blurriness, but apart from that minor issue, I’m very happy with how it turned out.

This picture was taken on a trip down to a more southern section of Western Australia. I spent most of this particular excursion taking photographs of the sea, and it was only near the end that I turned my focus inwards onto the jutted rock I had been taking these pictures from! I'm glad I did, because this - a picture of a stagnant pond which I almost overlooked - turned out wonderfully. I did a little cropping in post-production to remove some unsightly vignetting from the rim of the picture and boosted the contrast and saturation slightly. This picture was taken on a trip down to a more southern section of Western Australia.
